2017 Brewery Registration

If you are receiving this email, then we are personally inviting you and your brewery to the Central Coast Sour Festival in Paso Robles, Ca the weekend of September 22nd. This unique event is hosted by Life Water International and your friends at BarrelHouse Brewing Co..

This isn’t just another craft beer drunkfest. We've jam-packed two days of camping and good times for you and breweries from around the country. Bring your tent, your trailer, or rent a vintage trailer (from our friends at Tinker Tin Trailer Company). If the great outdoors aren't your thing, we're surrounded by a handful of solid hotels, though we highly recommend camping. With a slogan like Good People, Good Times, and Great Beer we can assure you this Sour Fest will be one not to be missed!

If you have any questions please reach out to us, we want this to be the most enjoyable event you've ever experienced.

Your friends at BarrelHouse Brewing Co.

"Get Wild In the Country!"

We’ll kick off Friday afternoon with a camp-out for the brewers and brewery representatives on our expansive BarrelHouse Brewing Co. grounds. That evening we’ll host a bonfire with catered country-style grub along with Bear Market Riot, a local bluegrass band. We’ll have lots of BarrelHouse beers to enjoy, but we encourage everyone to bring some bottles to share around the fire. If this party is anything like last year's, you'll be leaving with loads of stories and new friends.

Saturday will start with breakfast burritos followed by disc golf at Whale Rock Disc Golf at Castoro Cellars or if surfing is more your thing, we'll be headed out the Morro Rock to get in the waves. After a fun morning, we'll all meet back at the the event space to be setup and ready to pour by 12pm. The Sour Beer Festival will run from 12-4 pm with food, music, and great beer. After the fest the fun will continue with more music, camping, and festivities at the brewery or you can take the night off and explore any of the three-hundred local wineries, head into San Luis Obispo, or enjoy an amazing dinner in Paso Robles.

Sunday morning we'll all get up, high-five each other, exchange contact info, and hit the road already looking forward to the 2018's Central Coast Sour Fest.

Here's what's provided at Brewers Camp:

  • 12 X 12 camping space per brewery
  • Friday night BBQ dinner with all the fixings
  • Cracking bonfire
  • Live Music
  • Drinking Games
  • Environment for the raddest bottle share ever!
  • Water
  • Restrooms
  • Device charging stations
  • Unlimited BarrelHouse beers
  • Saturday morning breakfast
  • Free Disc Golf at a local course for the first 75 people (bring your own disc, though we will have some sets available)
  • Saturday evening the bonfire starts back up and we'll have games, leftovers, and plenty more beer to drink.

Even though, we're crafting this weekend long event around you, the breweries, the main focus is still the Sour Fest on Saturday. Our goal is to connect you with sour focused fanatics from the Central Coast (and beyond), while raising money to help people who otherwise wouldn't have access to fresh drinking water.

To achieve this, the brewery invitation list is kept small and selective focusing on companies crafting unique sour and wild ales. We understand how many craft beer events we all get hit with throughout the year, trust us, this one is different!

We are asking for 2-3 five gallon kegs (or equivalent in bottles) to share with about a thousand thirsty Sour Fest attendees. We reimburse $100 per keg, unless you'd rather donate to the charity. We are requesting that no more than one of these kegs already be distributed and at least one that is wildly (see what I did there) unique. Weird is great too!

Bottle Challenge and give away. Admittedly, we didn't pull this off very well last year, but we were amazed at the demand it created. This year we have an entirely new system in the works that will work one-thousand times better for everyone. So dust off that special reserve bottle and be prepared to enjoy the fun!

If you aren't able to attend, we'll be bummed, but we'd still love to expose your fine products at the event. Go ahead and sign up below and check the appropriate boxes. We'll be sure to have the finest craft beer junkies free beer can buy sharing your story and fine products at the event. We'll make sure they are well versed with all your information.

We guarantee this event will be just as much fun for all of us, as it will be for the guests that attend. Come enjoy yourselves and celebrate the world of funky beers on the beautiful Central Coast of California.

Here's what we're providing for the pouring event:

  • 10 X 10 space
  • 6' Table
  • 2 Chairs
  • Dump Bucket
  • Ice
  • One meal ticket each
  • Volunteer pourers if needed
  • About a thousand thirsty people dying to try your beers!
